Admissions Policies

Admission to the College of Hair Design is open to anyone with a high school diploma or a Graduate Equivalency Degree (G.E.D.) certificate. Acceptance to the school is based on desire and ability to benefit from training. No one will be discriminated against on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, age, or sex.

Applying to the College of Hair Design takes just a few simple steps:

  1. Complete an application form, available at the school or online.
  2. Return your completed application with a deposit of $25.00.
  3. Upon acceptance, your $25.00 deposit will be credited toward your tuition.
  4. Schedule a personal interview with the admissions office and participate in a school tour.

Completed applications should be submitted two to four months in advance of desired starting date to ensure placement in the class of your choice. 

Upon acceptance to the College of Hair Design:

  1. Applicants will be notified and an enrollment agreement must be completed. Applicants under the age of 19 will require the signature of a parent or guardian.
  2. A registration fee of $125.00 is due at this time and will be applied to the tuition.

Sixty days prior to the start date of a class, the prospective student should:

  1. Have their FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) on file with the Financial Aid Office, or have an approved payment plan set up with the Business Office. The College of Hair Design offers Financial Aid to those who qualify.
  2. Submit a high school diploma or GED certificate and birth certificate.
  3. Complete the entrance exam administered by the admissions office.

An orientation meeting will be held prior to the starting date, all above steps must be complete for the student to begin the program.
