The
goal of the Barber Arts DLP Program is to afford the opportunity for the
Licensed Cosmetologist to advance his/her skills. The course is intended to provide
them with the education necessary to pass the Nebraska State Barber Board Exam and
receive their license to practice Barber Arts in the state of Nebraska at an
entry level. The second purpose is to help students develop up-to-the-minute marketable
skills that will turn their dreams into realities. Students are taught technical
hair design skills, as well as customer service and business skills.

- Cosmetology license prerequisite
- 1100 clock hours of training as required by the State of Nebraska
- Practical credits in each area complete as required by the State of Nebraska
- All written & practical tests or assignments complete
- Overall grade point average requirement of 80%
- School Final Test in both written and practical of 80%
- All financial obligations to the school met
- Students utilizing Federal Financial Aid must complete Exit Counseling
- Return of all books &/or supplies loaned to the student
A Barber diploma will be awarded at a graduation ceremony held five times a year in conjunction with the
five projected graduation dates.
