Student Policies

Tardiness

Anyone clocking in after 8:00 a.m. from Wednesday through Friday will be considered tardy. Anyone clocking in after 9:00 a.m. on Tuesdays or after 7:50 a.m. on Saturdays will be considered tardy. Students are required to notify the school as soon as possible when they anticipate a late arrival. The school maintains a 24-hour answering service for student convenience, which can be reached by calling the school's business phone number. Disciplinary action will be taken regarding excessive tardiness. If a student clocks in 1-10 minutes late they will incur a 15-minute loss for the day. Eleven through 59 minutes late results in the loss of an hour.

Conduct

Students are required to conduct themselves as professionals at all time and treat clients with courtesy and respect. They must respect the rules and regulations of good citizenship and be able to accept constructive criticism. Students not in compliance will be put on conduct probation, which may result in temporary expulsion. All staff members, receptionist to instructors, have the authority to issue a temporary expulsion. Termination may result depending on the seriousness of the infraction.

Dismissal

A student may be dismissed from school if prohibited student conduct is displayed. Any conduct that causes or may cause a disruption or interference with the health, safety, well-being, or rights of others is prohibited.

Each class elects two representatives to the student council. Student council meets periodically for the purpose of student government and activity planning.
